Description
Flexcon PH-1 is a compact stainless steel thermal expansion tank for potable water, with a 1/2" MIP connection and a listed tank capacity of 0 to 5 gallons.
A thermal expansion tank gives heated water room to expand in a closed domestic system, which limits the pressure rise that can stress the water heater, relief valve and fixtures. This tank is rated for a maximum working water pressure of 150 psi and a maximum working water temperature of 195°F.
Set the tank's air pre-charge to match the incoming static water pressure before installing, and support it as the installation instructions describe. Confirm that the 0 to 5 gallon capacity suits the heater or system you are protecting.
