Press tools, jaws, ring sets and kits from Milwaukee, for copper CTS, PEX, stainless and large-diameter fittings.

The tool and the jaw are two separate decisions. The tool supplies the force and the cycle control; the jaw decides what you can actually press. Jaw profiles are cut to a specific fitting manufacturer's system, and a jaw that physically closes on another brand's fitting will still not form a correct joint. Buy jaws for the fittings you stock.

Force rating sets capacity. Standard tools handle up to 2" copper; above that, and on stainless, fixed jaws give way to rings driven by an actuator — the ring wraps the fitting and the actuator closes it, which is what makes large-diameter pressing possible where a fixed jaw could never swing. Compact and short-throw models trade capacity for access in joist bays and tight mechanical rooms.

Both tools and jaws are consumables on a service interval. Jaw profiles wear, and a worn jaw makes joints that look pressed and hold on test but fail later. Press tools log cycle counts and lock out when factory calibration is due — that is a maintenance obligation, not a defect.
