Frequently asked questions

Do Honeywell smart thermostats need a C-wire?

Yes. Wi-Fi models need continuous 24V power to run the display and radio. Without a common wire, add a C-wire adapter at the equipment or pull new thermostat wire.

What is the difference between Wi-Fi and RedLINK?

Wi-Fi connects the thermostat to the home router and the phone app. RedLINK is Resideo's wireless link between the thermostat and its own accessories, such as indoor and outdoor sensors and equipment interface modules. T10 Pro and Prestige kits use both.

Can I add remote room sensors?

Yes, on models that support RedLINK. T10 Pro and Prestige thermostats accept wireless indoor and outdoor sensors, sold separately in RedLINK accessories.
