Media filters and one-inch throwaway filters are not the same product. A four- or five-inch media cabinet holds far more surface area, so it captures finer particles at a lower pressure drop and is changed once or twice a year rather than monthly. Retrofitting one requires physical space at the return, which is the constraint that usually decides it.
Zone dampers and panels turn a single-stage system into multiple zones by closing branches, which raises static pressure in the remaining ducts. A bypass damper relieves that pressure back to the return; without it, a zoned system runs noisy and can trip on high limit.
Line-set covers protect refrigerant lines from UV and impact on mini-split installations and are stocked in white and gray.
