Wrot copper solder fittings for potable water, hydronic heat and refrigeration. Sizes 1/2" through 8", in C x C, C x C x C, Ftg x C, C x FPT and C x MPT.
The Ftg (fitting) end is the one that causes confusion: it is sized to slip into a socket rather than accept tube, which is what makes street elbows and reducing arrangements possible without an extra coupling. A C x C fitting and an Ftg x C fitting of the same nominal size are not interchangeable.
Solder choice is a code matter. Lead-free 95/5 or equivalent is required on potable lines; 50/50 remains legal only on non-potable. Flux must be water-soluble and fully flushed on potable systems, and joints are cleaned bright before assembly — oxidized copper will not wet properly no matter how much heat is applied.
Matching a fitting to a tube? Our copper pipe and tube dimensions cover Type K, L and M walls and IDs, why one fitting size fits all three, and the joining standards for each method.
