Description
Zurn Wilkins AG-8 is a 1/4" - 1/2" air gap fitting for Model 975XL/975XL2 reduced pressure principle backflow preventers.
The manufacturer says the AG-8 is used for indoor installations to connect a drain pipe to the backflow preventer and direct nuisance water discharge to a safe drain. It has iron inlet and 1" NPT outlet connections and can be mounted to a drain line made of any standard piping material.
The air gap prevents a cross connection between the drain and the potable water supply. It is made from epoxy-painted cast grey iron with zinc-plated steel bolts. Confirm that your backflow preventer is a compatible model before ordering.
