Taco Zone Valves

Taco zone valves for hot water heating systems. The range includes Zone Sentry normally closed 2-way valves in sweat and press connections, the QuickTop zone valve, the 570 series heat motor valves in 3/4 in. and 1 in. sweat, and the 555 power unit used to service heat motor valves.

A zone valve lets one boiler and one circulator heat several areas on their own schedules. When a thermostat calls, the valve opens and its end switch tells the boiler and pump to run. Zone Sentry valves use a motor actuator and open quickly. The 570 series uses a heat motor that opens gradually over a minute or two, which is normal behavior and not a fault.

When replacing a valve, match the connection type and size, the valve body style, and the voltage, which is 24 VAC for these models. Check the close-off rating against the circulator head as well. On heat motor valves, a failed power unit can often be replaced without draining the system or cutting the valve out.

Each zone needs a control to run the valves, boiler and circulator together. Taco zone valve controls and pump relays are in switching relays. For other brands and valve types, see all zone valves, or browse the full Taco Comfort Solutions range.
