Tub Spouts

This collection covers tub spouts from American Standard, BK Products, Brizo, Delta, Grohe, Hansgrohe and Moen. It includes slip-on and threaded 1/2 inch IPS spouts, push-on spouts, pull-up diverter spouts and non-diverter spouts, in chrome, nickel, black and stainless finishes.

Check how the spout attaches: threaded spouts need an IPS nipple, while slip-on spouts clamp onto a copper stub-out. Measure the pipe length from the finished wall so the spout seats flush. Choose a diverter spout only if the system has a shower head above, and match the finish and style to the valve trim.

Frequently asked questions

Slip-on or threaded tub spout?

Look at the pipe coming out of the wall. A smooth copper stub-out takes a slip-on spout that clamps in place; a threaded nipple takes a threaded (IPS) spout.

Do I need a tub spout with a diverter?

If the shower and tub share one valve and there is no separate diverter on the valve trim, the diverter in the spout is what sends water up to the showerhead. If the trim has its own diverter, use a non-diverter spout.

How far should the pipe stick out of the wall?

It depends on the spout. Each manufacturer specifies a stub-out length from the finished wall, so check the spec sheet before cutting the pipe so the spout seats flush.
