Description
Fernox 57883 is a 1 pint bottle of F4 Leak Sealer, an internal sealer for small, inaccessible leaks in central heating systems.
Once dispersed in the system, F4 finds the point where oxygen enters and forms a polymer to seal pinhole leaks and weeps. Fernox states it is effective within 1 to 24 hours, can be added without draining down, is compatible with all metals including aluminum and is left permanently in the system. One pint treats up to 34 gallons of system water, about 16 radiators.
A sealer is meant for small leaks and pressure loss in sealed systems, not for failed joints or large leaks, which still need a mechanical repair. Calculate the system's water volume to confirm one pint is enough, and read the Safety Data Sheet before handling.
