Viega 79175 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" - (P-FPT) - Union (Dielectric), ProPress®

Viega 79175 is a 1-1/2" ProPress union (dielectric), P x FPT (P = press end for copper tube; FPT = female pipe thread).

A union can be taken apart without cutting the line, so equipment such as a pump, water heater or valve can be removed for service.

Viega ProPress joins copper tube with a press tool and ProPress jaw: no flame, no solder and no hot-work permit. The EPDM sealing element is factory installed, and Viega's Smart Connect design lets an unpressed fitting show itself during the pressure test. ProPress is approved for hot and cold potable water, hydronic heating with glycol, chilled water, compressed air and non-medical gases.
