Viega 79770 is a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 1/2" ProPress tee (adapter), P x P x FPT (P = press end for copper tube; FPT = female pipe thread).

An adapter tee has press ends on the run and a female threaded branch, for a gauge, drain, valve or threaded take-off.

Viega ProPress joins copper tube with a press tool and ProPress jaw: no flame, no solder and no hot-work permit. The EPDM sealing element is factory installed, and Viega's Smart Connect design lets an unpressed fitting show itself during the pressure test. ProPress is approved for hot and cold potable water, hydronic heating with glycol, chilled water, compressed air and non-medical gases.
