A cap closes off the end of a line, for a future connection or to hold pressure during a test.

Legend's No Lead bronze threaded fittings are Class 125 and certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for drinking water. They make up with red brass or other NPT pipe and nipples on potable water, hydronic and general plumbing lines, and resist corrosion better than iron fittings on water service.
