Viega 89312 is a 5/8" x 3/4" PureFlow Press PEX elbow sweat adapter in bronze (Press x Sweat).

A sweat adapter makes the transition from PEX to copper: the copper end is soldered into the copper line before the PEX end is connected.

Viega PureFlow Press makes a PEX joint with a factory-attached stainless steel sleeve. The three view holes show the tubing is fully inserted, and the press is made with a PureFlow hand tool or power tool. Viega's 5/8" bronze PureFlow Press fittings are not zero lead and are for radiant heating systems only, not potable water.
