The Amtrol collection covers expansion tanks for heating and water heating systems. It includes Extrol hydronic expansion tanks in EX-15 (2 gallon), EX-30 (4.4 gallon) and EX-60 (6.7 gallon) sizes, plus Therm-X-Trol ST-5 and ST-12 thermal expansion tanks for potable water heaters.
Use Extrol models on closed hydronic heating loops and Therm-X-Trol models on domestic water heaters. Size the tank by system volume, temperature rise and supply pressure, and check the air pre-charge against system pressure before connecting.
