Hansgrohe kitchen and bath fixtures: single-hole lavatory faucets, pull-down kitchen faucets, showerheads and shower arms, thermostatic and pressure-balance valve trims, and rough-in valves.
The distinction worth understanding here is thermostatic versus pressure-balance. A pressure-balance valve holds the hot-cold ratio when pressure changes elsewhere in the house, which stops the scald when a toilet flushes. A thermostatic valve holds the actual outlet temperature against changes in both pressure and supply temperature, and it lets you set a number rather than a position — which is what multi-outlet showers need, since flow to each outlet varies.
Hansgrohe rough-in bodies (the iBox family) are installed separately from the trim and are shared across many trims in the range, so the valve can go in the wall before the finish is chosen.
Finishes stocked include chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, polished nickel and Stainless Steel Optic. Most of the range is specified as Modern, with Classic and Transitional lines alongside.
