J.C. Whitlam

J.C. Whitlam Manufacturing products here are plumbing chemicals, sealants and small accessories. Samples include BLUE MAGIC industrial grade thread sealant, SELECT-UNYTE PTFE thread sealing compound and T-U Type 555 thread sealing compound in 1/4 pint to 1 pint cans, FLOW-AIDE biodegradable system descaler in quart, gallon and kit form, PLUMB-PRO PVC pipe vent screens in 2", 3" and 4", and PLUMB-PRO soft jaw pliers.

Pick thread sealants by pipe material, fluid and pressure, and check the label for the services each compound is approved for. Apply the compound to the male threads only, so excess does not get pushed into the line.

FLOW-AIDE is used to remove scale from water heating equipment. Use a descaler compatible with the heat exchanger material, such as in tankless water heaters or boilers, follow the product directions, and flush thoroughly after treatment.

Vent screens keep birds, insects and debris out of open PVC vent and intake terminations. Size the screen to the pipe diameter.
