Sioux Chief 250-11A is a TurboVent air admittance valve (AAV) with a 1-1/2" ABS Schedule 40 hub adapter.

An AAV lets air into the drain system when a fixture drains and then seals tight, which protects trap seals where a conventional vent is not practical. TurboVent seals against back-pressure up to 13 PSIG, and an internal actuating device keeps the seal free of dust and debris.

The included DWV adapter has an ABS Schedule 40 hub that solvent welds onto 1-1/2" ABS pipe. Do not use pipe dope on the threads. A protective debris cover comes with each unit. Check local code for AAV use before installing.
