Mueller Streamline A 07812NL is a 1/2" x 1/8" flush bushing to fpt in cast copper alloy, FTG x FPT (FTG = fitting-size end (slides into another fitting's socket), FPT = female pipe thread).

A bushing threads into a larger female fitting to reduce it: male thread outside, smaller female thread inside.

This is a cast copper-alloy solder-joint fitting, the construction used for shapes that are not formed from wrot tube, such as unions, drop-ear elbows and threaded adapters. It solders to copper tube the same way as a wrot fitting; on potable water lines use a lead-free solder and flux.
