Mueller Streamline W 01715 is a 1/2" x 3/8" flush bushing in wrot copper, FTG x C (FTG = fitting-size end (slides into another fitting's socket), C = sweat socket (takes the tube)).

A bushing threads into a larger female fitting to reduce it: male thread outside, smaller female thread inside.

Streamline wrot copper fittings are made from UNS C12200 copper to ASME B16.22 and are certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for drinking water. They are used on potable water, hydronic heating and HVAC/R piping, joined by soldering or brazing. On potable water lines, use a lead-free solder and flux.
