Viega 40655 is a 1" PureFlow Crimp PEX sweat adapter in brass (Crimp(F1807) x Sweat).

A sweat adapter makes the transition from PEX to copper: the copper end is soldered into the copper line before the PEX end is connected.

PureFlow Crimp fittings join PEX with a copper crimp ring and a full-circle crimp tool. Check each crimp with a go/no-go gauge. The fittings are made to ASTM F1807 (metal) or F2159 (polymer) for PEX tubing on hot and cold water distribution.
