HeatLink EX27228NL is a 1" brass PEX sweat adapter with Expansion (F1960) x Sweat connections.

In residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic work, this fitting is used to transition from PEX to copper by soldering the sweat end. It belongs to HeatLink's F1960 expansion fitting range and is made of brass.

Connections to PEX use the ASTM F1960 cold expansion method, so use PEX-a tubing, matching expansion rings and an expansion tool with the correct head. Check that every size listed (1") matches your tubing and piping, and that the connection types fit your system before installation. For sweat ends, solder the copper joint before making the PEX connection so heat does not reach the tubing.
