Viega 79420 is a 2" ProPress male adapter (ftg), FTG(CTS) x MPT (FTG(CTS) = fitting-size end (copper tube size), slides into another fitting; MPT = male pipe thread).

An adapter changes the connection type to a male pipe thread.

Viega ProPress joins copper tube with a press tool and ProPress jaw: no flame, no solder and no hot-work permit. The EPDM sealing element is factory installed, and Viega's Smart Connect design lets an unpressed fitting show itself during the pressure test. ProPress is approved for hot and cold potable water, hydronic heating with glycol, chilled water, compressed air and non-medical gases.
