Mueller Streamline 570-035 is a 3" x 3-1/2" nipple in galvanized steel.

A nipple is a short length of pipe threaded on both ends; the first figure is the pipe size and the second the overall length, threads included.

Galvanized nipples are Schedule 40 steel pipe with a zinc coating, threaded NPT on both ends. They pair with galvanized malleable fittings on air, non-potable water and outdoor lines where bare black steel would rust.
