The Caleffi 551069A is a 2" DISCAL Air Separator with press connections. It continuously removes air and microbubbles from closed-loop hydronic systems.

DISCAL separators work on the coalescing principle: an internal element causes entrained air and microbubbles to combine and rise into the upper chamber, where a float-operated automatic air vent releases them. Removing air reduces noise, corrosion and pump cavitation and improves heat transfer in closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems.

Before ordering, confirm the 2" press connection matches your main piping, and that the system stays within 150 psi and 250F. Install it on the supply side where water temperature is highest for best air removal.
