The Caleffi 551766A is a 1" DISCAL air separator with a rotating collar and press union connections, built to remove entrained air and microbubbles from closed-loop hydronic systems.

DISCAL separators use an internal mesh element that makes microbubbles coalesce and rise into the upper chamber, where an automatic float vent discharges the air. The rotating collar lets the body turn so the vent stays upright, allowing installation on horizontal or vertical piping. Union connections simplify installation and future service.

Before ordering: Check that the 1" press union connection matches your piping and that you have the correct press tool and jaws. Install the separator where water is hottest and pressure is lowest, typically on the boiler supply ahead of the circulator.
