Type	Cartridge

American Standard 051091-0070A is a Reliant Plus bath and shower pressure balance cartridge.

It is the replacement cartridge for American Standard Reliant Plus tub and shower valves. The pressure balance design compensates for pressure changes in the hot or cold supply, which helps limit sudden temperature swings at the showerhead.

Confirm the valve is a Reliant Plus model before ordering. Shut off the water, remove the trim and old cartridge, check the valve body for debris or scale, and install the new cartridge in the same orientation. Replacement typically cures dripping, reduced flow and temperature control problems.
