Milwaukee 48-32-5031 is a SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty 1/4" hex to 3/8" square socket adapter.

The adapter fits a 1/4" hex impact driver or drill chuck and turns it into a 3/8" square drive, so standard 3/8" drive impact sockets can run nuts and bolts on hangers, strut, equipment mounts and unit heaters.

SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty accessories are Milwaukee's line of bits and holders made for the high torque of impact drivers, and they also work in drills with a 1/4" hex chuck. Use impact-rated sockets with it when driving with an impact driver.
