Flo by Moen puts leak detection and automatic shut-off in one body plumbed into the main, plus battery puck detectors for the fixtures the main valve cannot see. Everything on this page is stocked and ships from our Seattle warehouse.
Smart Water Shutoff valves install on the main downstream of the service shutoff. The unit monitors flow, pressure and temperature, runs a nightly pressure test on the plumbing, and closes the supply on its own when it reads a leak. Size the valve to the pipe you are cutting into, not to a fixture branch: a 1 in. main needs the 1 in. unit or the whole house loses pressure through the device. We stock 0.75 in. (900-001), 1 in. (900-006) and 1.25 in. (900-002).
Smart Water Detectors are battery pucks that watch one spot and report to the same app as the valve. Put one in a water heater pan, under a sink base, behind a laundry box or at a sump. They sense water, temperature and humidity, so they warn before a pipe freezes rather than after it bursts. Sold singly (920-004) or in a three-pack (920-005) for a house with several risk points.
Cable and accessories. The 6 ft Smart Leak Detect sensing cable (920-006) extends a puck along a run of pipe or the length of a pan, where a single point would miss the water. The 25 ft extension cable (920-003) reaches an outlet further from the main than the stock lead allows.
Pairing note: the shutoff valve and the detectors work independently, but on the same account the detectors can trigger the valve to close. A whole-house valve without detectors still catches a leak downstream of itself by flow signature; detectors without a valve raise the alarm but close nothing.
