Point of Use Heaters

Point-of-use electric water heaters from 1.44 kW to 6 kW, at 120V, 208V, 240V and 277V, in mini-tank and tankless configurations.

These exist to solve distance. A fixture far from the water heater wastes both the wait and the water in the line every time it is used; a point-of-use unit under the sink delivers hot water in seconds and removes that run from the system entirely.

The 120V models are the practical ones for retrofit — they plug into an existing receptacle and need no new circuit, which is usually what decides the job. Higher-voltage units deliver more flow but need dedicated wiring. The 277V models are for commercial buildings on that distribution voltage.

A mini-tank stores 2 to 7 gallons and handles handwashing or a single fixture with a recovery gap between uses. A tankless point-of-use has no storage and delivers continuously at a lower flow. For a handwash lavatory either works; for a shower, neither does.
