Charlotte Pipe PVC-02107-1150 1-1/2" x 1" PVC SCH40 Bushing - Spigot x Socket

Charlotte Pipe PVC-02107-1150 is a 1-1/2" x 1" PVC Schedule 40 bushing, Spigot x Socket (Spigot = spigot (pipe-size end that fits into a hub or socket); Socket = socket (takes the pipe)).

A bushing threads into a larger female fitting to reduce it: male thread outside, smaller female thread inside.

Charlotte Schedule 40 pressure fittings are made to ASTM D2466 and certified to NSF 61, for pressure piping where the fluid stays at or below 140°F: water service, irrigation, pools and process water. They join Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 PVC pipe (same outside diameter) with primer and PVC solvent cement. PVC loses pressure capacity as temperature rises, so size the system to the working temperature.
