Mueller Streamline 511-709 2-1/2" - Galvanized Union

Mueller Streamline 511-709 is a 2-1/2" union in galvanized malleable iron, FPT (FPT = female pipe thread).

A union can be taken apart without cutting the line, so equipment such as a pump, water heater or valve can be removed for service.

These are Class 150 malleable iron fittings with a hot-dip zinc coating to ASTM A153, which protects the iron where it is exposed to moisture: compressed air, non-potable water, vents and outdoor runs. Threads are tapered NPT and make up with galvanized pipe and nipples. Check the local code before using galvanized on potable water or fuel gas.
