Viega 26045 is a 2" x 1-1/2" MegaPress fitting reducer, FTG(IPS) x P (FTG(IPS) = fitting-size end (iron pipe size), slides into another fitting; P = press end for IPS steel pipe).

A reducer steps the line down from the larger size to the smaller one.

Viega MegaPress presses directly onto black iron / carbon steel pipe, so steel lines go together without threading, welding or grooving. The EPDM version is for closed water systems such as hydronic heating and chilled water, and for compressed air. For natural gas or propane use MegaPressG.
