Mueller Streamline 511-986 2" x 1-1/4" - Galvanized Bushing - MPT x FPT

Mueller Streamline 511-986 is a 2" x 1-1/4" bushing in galvanized malleable iron, MPT x FPT (MPT = male pipe thread, FPT = female pipe thread).

A bushing threads into a larger female fitting to reduce it: male thread outside, smaller female thread inside.

These are Class 150 malleable iron fittings with a hot-dip zinc coating to ASTM A153, which protects the iron where it is exposed to moisture: compressed air, non-potable water, vents and outdoor runs. Threads are tapered NPT and make up with galvanized pipe and nipples. Check the local code before using galvanized on potable water or fuel gas.
