Rheem SP20984 480 V, 4.5 kW, Conversion Kit Assembly for ELD 55 Gallon Electric Water Heater

Rheem SP20984 is the Rheem Manufacturing 480 V, 4.5 kW, Conversion Kit Assembly for ELD 55 Gallon Electric Water Heater.

It is a Rheem conversion kit that changes the element rating of a Rheem light duty commercial electric water heater, used when the building supply voltage or the required kW differs from the original configuration. Rheem parts are matched to specific heater models, so check the model and serial number on the rating plate to confirm the fit.

Confirm the heater model, the available supply voltage and the target kW before ordering. Wiring, breaker and conductor sizing must be checked against the new rating, and the heater should be relabeled so the rating plate matches the installed elements.
