Milwaukee 49-56-7240 is a large thread pull-back hole saw arbor with a 7/16" shank.

Large thread arbors drive Milwaukee hole saws 1-1/4" and larger, the sizes most often used for pipe, drain and conduit penetrations. The 7/16" shank should match your drill chuck capacity; a 7/16" shank suits larger drills and heavier cutting.

The pull-back design is intended to make it easier to seat and release the hole saw. Use it with a pilot bit, thread the saw fully onto the arbor, and use a small-thread arbor for saws under 1-1/4".
