The deep cut band saw has a larger cutting capacity than compact band saws, for cutting larger steel and copper pipe, strut, conduit and threaded rod with clean, square cuts. It suits plumbing, mechanical and fire sprinkler work.

It is part of the M18 FUEL line. It runs on Milwaukee's M18 battery platform, so it shares batteries with other M18 tools. The -20 model is the bare tool; battery and charger are sold separately. The kit version is 2929-22.
