An O-ring kit gives plumbers and maintenance techs a selection of O-rings for repairing faucet spouts, stems, cartridges, valves and other fittings. Keeping a kit in the truck or shop means a leaking seal can be replaced on the first visit. Match the O-ring diameter and cross-section to the original part, and apply a light coat of plumber's silicone grease so the new O-ring seats without tearing.
