Arrowhead Brass PK2004SP Replacement Stem Assembly for 4 420BFP Frost-Proof Hydrant- 8 1/4 Total Length

Which version do I need? This is the "SP" stem, 1/4" longer than the standard one. Measure your old stem tip to tip, including the check assembly: if it is an even length (8", 10", 12"...), you need the standard stem; if it is 1/4" longer, you need the "SP" stem. On 420 series hydrants, the SP stems fit models made before 1999. See also: Arrowhead Brass PK2004 Replacement Stem Assembly for 4 420BFP Frost-Proof Hydrant- 8 Total Length.
