Arrowhead Brass

Arrowhead Brass products here are lead-free outdoor faucets and utility valves. Samples include standard and no-kink hose bibs, sillcocks with and without vacuum breakers, Arrow-Breaker anti-siphon models, FIP and MIP boiler drains, a washing machine valve, anti-siphon and standard frost-proof hydrants in 4" to 12" wall lengths, gas log lighter valves and hydrant repair parts.

For frost-proof hydrants, choose a wall length that places the valve seat inside the heated space, and confirm the inlet: 1/2" FIP, 3/4" MIP or sweat. Anti-siphon or vacuum breaker models help prevent backflow at hose connections, which many codes require.

Arrowhead hydrant repair parts are sold by series and wall length: PK2004 to PK2008 stems for the 420BFP, PK8004 to PK8012 for the 450 and 480 series, PK6004 to PK6008 for the 410 and 460 Arrow-Breaker, PK7004 and PK7008 for the 470, and PK9004 to PK9008 for the 490 hot and cold hydrant, along with PK vacuum breakers and handles.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the right Arrowhead replacement stem?

Read the series number on the hydrant and measure the wall length, then choose the PK stem for that series and length. The SP stems run 1/4" longer overall than the standard version.

What wall length do I need for a frost-proof hydrant?

Choose a length that puts the valve seat inside the heated part of the wall. Measure from the outside face of the wall to the inside, past the insulation.

Do I need a vacuum breaker on an outdoor faucet?

Many codes require backflow protection at hose connections. Anti-siphon and Arrow-Breaker models have it built in; add-on vacuum breakers are available for standard hose bibs.
