Hydrant Repair Parts & Accessories

Repair parts for frost-proof wall hydrants, sillcocks and box hydrants from Arrowhead Brass, Woodford and PRIER, listed by manufacturer part number. Most outdoor hydrant leaks are fixed from the outside of the wall: the stem assembly, seat washer, packing or vacuum breaker wears out long before the hydrant body does.

Find the part by brand and series

Arrowhead Brass stems are sold by series and wall length: PK2004 to PK2008 for the 420BFP, PK8004 to PK8012 for the 450 and 480 series, PK6004 to PK6008 for the 410 and 460 Arrow-Breaker, PK7004 and PK7008 for the 470 FreezeProof, and PK9004 to PK9008 for the 490 hot and cold hydrant. Vacuum breakers (PK1430, PK1390), handles (PK1290, PK1299) and the PK1450 gap wedge spacer are here too.

PRIER parts include the C-144KT-807 complete service kit for the C-144, the P-164KT-807 kit for the P-164, P-231 stem assemblies by style and length for both, the C-134US universal stem for B, C and D styles, and seat washer, packing, handle and loose key kits.

Woodford parts include the RK-17MH Model 17 repair kit, the RK-19VB vacuum breaker float kit, the RK-ADJ-PRV adjustable operating rod for 4" to 14" hydrants, 67BX box assemblies for Model 65 and 67 box hydrants, and 34H, 34HA, 34HF and 50H vacuum breakers.

Before ordering, read the brand and model on the hydrant face or handle and note the wall depth. Shut off and drain the supply before pulling the stem, and replace the washers and packing at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which Arrowhead stem I need?

Find the series number on the hydrant (420BFP, 450, 480, 410, 460, 470 or 490) and the wall length, then pick the stem for that series and length. If the old stem is out, compare its total length with the length listed in the part title.

Can I repair a frost-free hydrant without opening the wall?

Usually yes. With the water shut off, the stem assembly comes out through the front of the hydrant, so the seat washer, packing or the whole stem can be replaced from outside.

My hydrant drips from the vacuum breaker. What should I replace?

A worn vacuum breaker or seat washer is the usual cause. Match the vacuum breaker to the hydrant brand and model, or use the complete repair kit for that model where one is listed.

Do Arrowhead, PRIER and Woodford parts interchange?

No. Stems, kits and vacuum breakers are made for each brand and model, so order by the manufacturer part number.
