This ProTerra hybrid electric water heater uses a heat pump to pull heat from the surrounding air and has 4500 W electric elements for backup when demand is high. This model also includes Leak Guard leak detection. Before choosing the 65 gallon size, confirm the room has enough air volume and clearance for the heat pump, a condensate drain, and a 240 V circuit sized for the unit.
