Check the pack quantity before you order a part. Most of the repair stock here is packaged for a facility, not for a single service call: diaphragms and disc assemblies come 12 to a box, washer sets and handle assemblies 6, gaskets and friction rings 48, O-rings 24. The quantity is in the product title. If you need one diaphragm, you are buying twelve.
The diaphragm is volume-specific. Two flushometers that look identical can be set for different flush volumes, and the diaphragm is what sets it. Read the volume marked on the valve before ordering the repair kit — the collection spans 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 1.1, 1.28 and 1.6 gpf, and a kit for the wrong one will fit and then flush the wrong amount.
The vacuum breaker is not an accessory. A flushometer ties the potable supply straight to the fixture with no air gap, so the vacuum breaker in the tailpiece is the only thing stopping back-siphonage from the bowl into the water line. Stocked in 3/4", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" by 9", with matching trap primer pairs for 9" and 13-1/2" breakers.
Manual, sensor, or dual-flush. Manual valves use an ADA-compliant non-hold-open handle, which returns on its own instead of letting a user hold a long flush. Sensor valves come hardwired or self-powered depending on the suffix. ECOS models are dual-flush: they choose a reduced or full flush from how long the user was in front of the sensor, and UPPERCUT does the same thing mechanically — lift the handle for the reduced flush, push down for the full one.
DBP means reclaimed water. Part numbers carrying DBP ship with a purple wall flange, the standard identification for a non-potable reclaimed supply. Do not fit one to a potable line, and do not replace one with a standard flange.
