Caleffi 523180A MixCal+ High-Flow 3-Way Thermostatic Mixing Valve, 1-1/2" Male NPT, 13 Cv, ASSE 1017, Lead Free

The Caleffi 523180A is a MixCal+ high-flow 3-way thermostatic mixing valve with 1-1/2" male NPT threaded connections. It blends hot and cold water to deliver a stable mixed-water temperature to the hot water distribution system, with a flow capacity of 13 Cv.

MixCal+ high-flow valves are ASSE 1017 listed point-of-source mixing valves, typically installed at the outlet of a water heater, boiler or storage tank to temper domestic hot water before it is distributed through the building. The lead-free brass body is rated for a minimum flow of 8.8 GPM, a maximum flow of 70 GPM, a maximum temperature of 195°F and a maximum pressure of 200 psi.

Before ordering: confirm the 1-1/2" pipe size and male NPT connection, and check that your lowest expected hot water demand is above the 8.8 GPM minimum flow. An ASSE 1017 valve is a point-of-source device; where code requires point-of-use scald protection (ASSE 1016 or 1070) at fixtures, it must be provided separately.
