The Caleffi 573503A is a 3/4" NPT dual check backflow preventer with intermediate atmospheric vent, listed to ASSE 1012. It keeps water from a heating or process system from flowing back into the potable water supply.

ASSE 1012 devices are commonly installed on the cold water make-up line to hydronic boilers and other low-hazard equipment connections. Two independent check valves and a vent chamber between them discharge water to atmosphere if backpressure or back-siphonage occurs.

Before ordering, confirm your 3/4" NPT line size and that local code accepts an ASSE 1012 device for the application; high-hazard connections typically require a reduced pressure zone (ASSE 1013) assembly. Allow for drainage from the vent port.
