Moen A714 is a vacuum breaker in Chrome.

A vacuum breaker is a backflow prevention device. It is used in shower systems with hand showers so that water from a hose that drops into a tub or basin cannot be siphoned back into the supply line.

Many plumbing codes require backflow protection on hand showers, so check local requirements. Confirm that the A714 fits the connections on your hand shower setup before ordering, and match it to the chrome finish of the other shower trim.
