American Standard RU102SS is a shower rough-in valve: the Flash Shower Rough-In Valve With Stub-Outs With Screwdriver Stops.

This rough-in valve is installed inside the wall or floor during construction or remodeling and later receives a matching American Standard trim. It is part of the Flash rough-in system, which lets the trim be selected separately. Screwdriver stops allow water to be shut off at the valve for service. It is supplied with stub-outs for the connections.

Before installing, confirm the trim you plan to use is compatible with this valve, the supply pipe type and the wall depth, and follow local code for pressure balance or thermostatic protection.
