American Standard RU101 is a shower rough-in valve: the Flash Shower Rough-In Valve With Universal Inlets/Outlets.

This rough-in valve is installed inside the wall or floor during construction or remodeling and later receives a matching American Standard trim. It is part of the Flash rough-in system, which lets the trim be selected separately. Universal inlets and outlets accept several connection types.

Before installing, confirm the trim you plan to use is compatible with this valve, the supply pipe type and the wall depth, and follow local code for pressure balance or thermostatic protection.

Cast DZR brass valve body

Plaster guard (also a thin-wall mounting support)

Cartridge: Not included in this rough-in. The cartridge ships with the American Standard TU-series trim kit.
