Moen 1222HD is a brass Posi-Temp cartridge for commercial and heavy-duty applications.

Posi-Temp is Moen's pressure-balancing valve line. The 1222HD is the heavy-duty brass version of the Posi-Temp cartridge, and Moen supplies it with its commercial heavy-duty Posi-Temp rough-in valves. It suits apartments, dormitories, hotels and other buildings where showers see heavy use.

Replace the cartridge when the shower drips, the handle is stiff or the temperature control is no longer stable. Shut off the water, confirm the valve model on the parts list and follow Moen's replacement instructions.
