Moen 1248 is a two-handle replacement cartridge for high-flow Roman tubs, hot or cold.

Moen lists the 1248 as the replacement cartridge for two-handle high-flow Roman tub faucets. The same cartridge fits either the hot or cold side of the valve, so you can replace one or both handles' cartridges as needed.

Replace the cartridge when the tub filler drips, the handle is stiff or will not shut off. Moen advises removing the handle to identify the handle mechanism first; shut off the water before starting.
