It is an Oatey MODA washing machine box that mounts in the wall to house the supply valve connection and drain in a neat recessed box behind the appliance or fixture, so supply lines can be connected and shut off without pulling the fixture far from the wall. It includes hammer arrestor protection to help reduce water hammer when valves close quickly.
